Increase Male Fertility
by M.C.

Are you looking to increase male fertility? Medical books describe infertility as a situation where a couple is unable to conceive a child even after a year of regular intercourse, without adopting any technique of birth control.

Causes of male infertility

There are many causes of male infertility:

1. Womens' Infertility: Infertility in women can be due to: i) Ovulation, which is an event where hormonal signals and physical events are interlinked, and with age, the ovulation process in women declines. ii) Cervical causes, in which the sperm is unable to pass through the mouth of the uterus due to a host of factors. iii) Pelvic causes, which are anatomy-related and caused due to any disruption of the pelvic structure.

2.Men's Infertility: This can be caused by problems in the reproductive organ, problems like underdeveloped testes, infections, exposure to metals, medication (example: high blood pressure medication) can specifically cause infertility in men.

3. Common causes: Lifestyle habits such as using lubricants, not having sex often, anorexia, stress, starvation, heavy intake of alcohol, tobacco and drugs also cause infertility. Then there are some other common factors such as sexually transmitted diseases, physical injury, etc.

Ways to increase male fertility

1. According to scientists, women reach their fertility peak between October-March and men produce the best quality semen between February-March. This is just an observation of how nature works its magic on humans; scientists say that is the best period for conception to occur.

2. Smoking is one of the causes of infertility - cigarette smoke contains nicotine, carbon dioxide and many other poisonous toxins, which harm the reproductive systems of both men and women. One must give up smoking to decrease his/her chances of being infertile.

3. Alcohol intake must be cut because it lowers the sperm count. 4. Caffeine consumption must be cut, too, as it impacts fertility in both men and women.

5. One must avoid living a stressful life. Now days, men and women in their pursuit of fame and money do not lead a well-balanced life, and they are constantly in stress trying to achieve their corporate goals and lust for money. Stress affects the reproductive system and weakens the immune system and can play a major role in making men and women infertile.

6. Eat right. This is not to say that one must go on an eating binge, but starvation and anorexia play havoc with the sex hormones. And the same holds true if there is excess consumption of food. Therefore, eat as much as is right for your body and better, see a nutritionist and chart out a diet plan.

7. Adopt an exercise regimen and stick to it. Exercise increases the metabolic rate, strengthens the heart and tones up all the organs in the body.

Having a baby is the happiest moment in a couple's life and they should not deprive themselves of this happiness by developing infertility, which is mostly brought about by the way men and women lead their life. Hopefully the Ways to increase male fertility listed above will help you have that baby you have always wanted.
